Obituary of James Hunton Matlock

July 18, 1927 – May 11, 2019

Jim passed away peacefully at Prairie Lake Hospice at the age of 91 years.

He will be forever missed by Leona, his wife of 58 years, daughters Shelley, Janice and Patricia, son Barry (Carol), grandchildren Dennis, Stacy, Riley, Spencer and great granddaughter Kensi.  He is also survived by his siblings Gayle, George (Emilia), Robert (Rosa) and Claudia and extended family and friends.

Jim was predeceased by his parents Wade and Elizabeth Matlock, and siblings Art, Leo, Lola and Rosalie.

A Celebration of Life for Jim will be held at 2pm on Friday, May 17, 2019 at Bear Creek Funeral Home/Richmond Reception Center, 11802 99 Avenue, Grande Prairie.

The family wishes to extend thanks to Dr. Renfree, Dr. Charman, the wonderful Hospice staff and the Homecare staff at Wildrose Manor.
