Obituary of Brenda Lynn Johnson

May 4, 1966 – August 2, 2019

 

Brenda Lynn Johnson, 53, passed away peacefully, with family at her side, on Friday, August 2nd, 2019 at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute in Edmonton, Alberta.

 

On May 4th, 1966, Brenda was born to Dave and Sylvia Dolhan in Spirit River, Alberta where she spent her entire life growing up, going to school and ultimately meeting the love of her life: David Johnson.

 

Brenda is survived by her loving husband David of 35 years. They married on July 21, 1984 in Spirit River.  Brenda will be lovingly remembered by her parents Dave and Sylvia; son Dustin (Erica) and  daughter Ashley (Brenton); brother Dwayne (Tina) and sister Carmen (Sheldon); nieces Kira and Taya; nephews Bradon and Brett; and grandchildren Mattix, Kenna, Kaydence, Tori and Ledger.

 

Brenda is predeceased by her grandparents Alex and Mary Zaichkowsky, and George and Lena Dolhan.

 

Family was the light of Brenda’s life. Grandchildren would always be met with smiles, hugs, kisses, and a suitcase full of gifts. When she was not spoiling the grandkids, Brenda also enjoyed tending to her horses, garden, and yard on the acreage that she and her husband built.

 

Brenda will be remembered most for the love that radiated from her heart, touching all those who were lucky enough to be near her.

 

The celebration of Brenda’s life will be held at the Rycroft Agricultural Centre on Monday August 12th, 2019 at 12:00 PM. Interment to follow at the Spirit River Cemetery.
