Shelley Urban

Obituary of Shelley Urban

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Shelley Heather Louise Urban (Warner).

Shelley was born in Cobourg Ontario March 25, 1959 to Bill and Elvina.  She was the 8th of their 10 children.  Shelley soon became the apple of her Daddy’s eye.  She could pull a little string and get his attention at any time.  She grew up on the original Warner homestead farm, in Vernonville Ontario population of 37.  It was a 2-story home, with 6 bedrooms but no bathroom was Shelley’s biggest complaint.   Her first year of school was right in Vernonville, then Grafton, Lake Port, and she finished at CDC East Cobourg high.  Shelley loved music and dancing, attending many junior farmer dances with the rest of the gang of course! After her graduation she moved west to Fairview to live with her brother Lyle.  Soon after meeting Bob Ramsey, who blessed her with two sons Robbie and Charles.  Shelley worked as a Lab Tech for Alberta Agriculture.  A few years after she met her love Darrell and they got married April 23, 1988.  Then along came her four beautiful girls Amanda, Stephanie, Katherine, and Breanna.  Shelley was always there to lend a helping hand. Over the years she was involved with the Fairview Minor Hockey, Minor Soccer, Hilliard Bay Estates Community and more. Her favorite thing was being a Grandma, her grandchildren and children meant the world to her.  Shelley also enjoyed having tea time with her beloved friends.

Shelley will be forever in the hearts of her husband Darrell, sons Robbie (Alberta), Charles, daughters Amanda (Steven), Stephanie (Shaun), Katherine (Andrew), Breanna (Denziel), grandchildren Josh, Tristin, Jurnee, Michellyn, Casin, Rebecca, River, Haidyn, and little girl soon on her way, brothers Gary, Fred (Carol), Kevin(Stacy), Lyle (Evangieline), sister Sheila Hawkins (Norman), father in-law Otto, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Shelley was pre-deceased by her parents Bill and Elvina, mother in-law Luella, sister Lorraine, brothers Larry, Arthur, Rae, and sister in-law Maureen.

A celebration of Shelley’s life will be held on Sunday September 22, 2019 at the EE Oliver school at 2pm.
