Obituary of Albert Syver Evenson

July 6, 1947 – January 23, 2020 Albert Evenson passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Prairie Lake Hospice, Grande Prairie with family at his side. Albert was born at Unity, Saskatchewan hospital. He grew up in Rutland, Saskatchewan on a farm and attended Senlac School. He worked 10 Years in Insurance & Travel and 38 Years in the Oilfield. He moved to Grande Prairie with his wife Gloria in 2000. Albert loved the Lord, serving in ministry as an elder, teaching Bible studies, prayer ministry, and leading northern Christian ministries for 9 years. Camping and quality family times were his favorite leisure activities. Albert leaves behind his beloved wife Gloria, daughter Charlotte (Wayne), son Tyler (Donna), grandchildren Amy (Garion), Megan (Sheldon), Analise and Caleb, great-grandchildren Micah, Claire, Abigail, Mackenzie and Kacey, siblings Keith, Wayne (Danielle), Louise and John (Wendy), brother-in-law Mervyn Sword, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents Arthur and Veone Evenson, brother-in-law Norman Paulsen, sister-in-law Margaret Evenson, sister Elaine Sword, and great-niece Santana Caplette. A Celebration of Albert’s life will take place at Victory Church, (7702 100 St, Grande Prairie) on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM Memorial donations may be made to The Gideons International in Canada (https://gideons.ca/).
