Obituary of Adrienne Anne Sorgaard

Adrienne Anne Sorgaard October 30, 1941 – January 18, 2017 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Adrienne Sorgaard, on January 18, 2017. Adrienne was born October 30, 1941 in Sexsmith, Alberta to Bert and Irene Balderston. She was the youngest and the only girl to brothers Gilbert and Ted Balderston. Adrienne was a longtime resident of the LaGlace community. She loved many things such as cooking, baking, family gatherings, dancing, playing cards, knitting, coffee visits and bingo. It was through all of these passions she gained many lifelong friends. Adrienne will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 54 years, Chester Sorgaard; children Edward (Leona) Sorgaard and Trina (Jeff) Meyaard; grandchildren Quinten (Cori) Meyaard, Joel (Krista) Meyaard, Kaylin (Matt) Green, Kayce (Justin) Sorgaard, and Ryan Sorgaard; great grandchildren, Kail, Audrey, Charlie, Carter, Maggie, Rosie and Layton; brother Gilbert (Vivian) Balderston; brother-in-law Lavern (Irene) Sorgaard; sister-in-law Edna (Carl) Holte and numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones. Adrienne was predeceased by her parents Bert and Irene Balderston and her brother Ted Balderston. A Celebration of Adrienne’s life will be held at the Calvary Lutheran Church in LaGlace, Alberta on Saturday, January 28th, 2017 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Grande Prairie Hospice Palliative Care Society, PO Box 21215, Grande Prairie, Alberta, T8V 6W7; Calvary Lutheran Church, LaGlace, Alberta, T0H 2J0 or the Northfield Cemetery, LaGlace, Alberta, T0H 2J0.
