Obituary of Richard (Rick) Allan Eagar

October 26, 1951 - February 20, 2017 Richard Allan Eagar, 65, of Grande Prairie, AB, passed on February 20, 2017 at Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB; he was receiving treatment for Leukemia. Rick was born in Grande Prairie, AB on Oct. 26, 1951, the son of Pete (MDC) and Lenora Eagar. He is survived by his wife, Debbie, daughter, Kelly (Mark, Lucas), daughter-in-law Karen (Ty, Peyton, Mia), Debbie’s daughters Trish (Shawn, Piper), Courtney (Clayton, James, Miley), Heather (Murray, Cheyenne, Nathan), Vicki (Ryan, Felix, Silas), brother Dave (Gwen), sister Pat (Barry), his mother Lenora, mother-in-law Carol and his extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and of course his pal Scooby. He was predeceased by his father, Pete and son, Michael. He lived life to the fullest with a witty sense of humor and quiet manner. His favourite past times were working outside on the acreage and spending time reading and relaxing by the fire pit. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, taking every spare moment to watch any sports event or activity in which they were involved. A Celebration of his life will be held at 1pm, Thursday March 2, at Forbes Presbyterian Church, 9635 - 76 Avenue, Grande Prairie, AB. Relatives and friends are welcome.
