Patrick was always such an energetic, charismatic, and wonderful soul. I knew him well back in grade 6, but also had the pleasure of visiting with him not that long ago, while he was working at the Sawmill. Although taller, he still was such a joy to engage in conversation and his amazing smile and laughter still lit up the room. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to each one of his family members. Patrick will forever hold a special place in my heart.

i didn't get to see uncle Patrick much the past two years but we did talk often through social media. i never would have thought this was going to happen and i wish all the gables and close friends the best at this time. the times i did see uncle Patrick were very positive he had lots of personality to him and that's something i wont forget. uncle Patrick was very funny and it was easy to be in a good mood even when you had other problems. if i was ever sad he would talk me through it and it was easy to confide in him and most of the time he made me feel better. ill always remember him as a good guy. whenever anyone would talk about hairdressing i would sometimes mention that my grandma and uncle were hairdressers and was always proud of it even thought i didn't see them often but that doesn't mean i don't care or i don't love them. i wish all of you and uncle Patrick the best <3 - Chantelle

Kirk, Wendy, Steven, Lindsay, & Emma,
I have been in absolute disbelief upon hearing of Patrick's passing. I still remember the first day that he and Erin started school together. He was always such a happy go lucky kid, and anytime later in life when I ran into him he always stopped to chat. I am so sorry for all of you - for all of us. Our world has lost a very bright, and caring individual. Thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. Deepest Sympathy

The world is a colder place without Patrick, he brought so much light into evryones life and it was a privilege to have first met him in Audreys grade one class and see him grow through all their school years. He was a spark that lit up every room he entered and I too loved seeing him. Audrey has said he was an important part of her life, a constant friend even though they lived far apart and didn't get to see one another but being apart never dimmed he r affection for her old friend and his passing has been a shock. We know he adored his family and his brightness and kindness came from you. I'm so sorry for your loss and we are thinking of you at such a painful time. Patrick will be missed and never forgotten and is safe and remembered in our hearts. K

Sending my condolences ,warmth.and love to be wrapped around you all.
Patrick was such a magnet and presence.
He would go out of his way to come and say hi to me and always so caring, asking about my family and what I had been up to. So much value in this young man.
You are all in my prayers.

Patrick definitely had a wonderful contagious laugh - I can't help but smile when I look at his picture. He'd always be polite and take time for a little bit of chit'chat when he'd drop in at home and I happened to be there visiting Wendy. I know he was dearly loved by Wendy, Kirk, Steven, Lindsay and Emma and that they were so proud that he found joy and mastery in the cosmetology trade. As the days and weeks pass dear Wendy and family, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. My heart goes out to you!
