Obituary of Trevor Donald Blais

Trevor Donald Blais, 34, of Grande Prairie, Alberta, passed away suddenly on April 13, 2017 in a vehicle collision just outside his home town of Grande Prairie, Alberta. Trevor Blais was born in Grande Prairie to Guy and Janine Blais on January 28th, 1983. He went to high school at St. Joe’s and graduated in 2001. He became a father for the first time shortly after in 2003 when his son Aspyn was born. He enjoyed an exciting hospitality career and it was through this passion that he met the love of his life, Kate Menzies, when he organized a trip to his brother Ryan’s world cup at Apex Mountain. Their bond was immediate, and together they built a happy life full of amazing experiences and countless memories. Trevor married his beautiful bride on a gorgeous day in Kelowna, BC in October 2014. He became a father for the second time when he and Kate welcomed their sweet daughter, Madison Dawn Blais, into the world on April 10, 2016. He was always happiest when surrounded by family and friends and he was working towards a Journeyman Plumbing Certificate through GPRC while supporting his family as a plumber. Trevor was a dedicated father, brother, husband, son and friend to countless others. Trevor is survived by his wife Kate Blais of Grande Prairie, daughter Madison Blais and son Aspyn Hufnagel. He is also survived by his parents Guy and Janine Blais, his three brothers Norman Blais, Ryan (Jocelyn) Blais, Marcel (Keli & William) Blais and a large family of cousins, uncles, aunts and family members from the Menzies clan. Trevor’s family was so proud of his pursuit of his education and commitment to taking care of his family. Fittingly, in memory of Trevor’s legacy, memorial donations may be made through ATB financial to be directed to a family trust for Aspyn and Madison’s education. Donations in lieu of flowers and gifts can be made through any Grande Prairie ATB Financial Bank.
