Obituary of Bob Gary Madden

It is with heavy hearts, we mournfully announce the passing of Bob Madden, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Bob spent his younger years riding horses, working on the farm, and following his big brother Jim around.  His first job was hauling water for his dad in Eureka River and Worsley area.  From there he went to work on the rigs for his brother Jim.  He eventually started his own trucking business, hauling gravel and water.  Some of the things he enjoyed were fast cars, women, and cold beer.  Many evenings were spent playing cards, listening to music, and having fun with his family.  He will be remembered for his shiny red trucks, his sense of humor and his love for his family.

Bob survived by his sister Alice Westbury, brothers Wayne Madden (Charlotte), Brian Madden, his angel Annette Madden, daughter Kim Hassen, Shelly (Dennis) Honing, grandchild, Amanda (Arley) Simpson, great grandchild Hannah Morrison, Kristen (Kenny) Simpson, daughter Cheryl (Mike) Biegel, grandchildren Jordan, Blayne, Presley and Tanner Biegel, Winston and Lane Schwerdt, Son Earl (Jen) Madden, grandchildren Jamee Fitzpactrick, and Ella Madden. He was pre-deceased by his father Arthur Earl Madden, mother Sarah Viola Madden, brothers Sandy, Elmer, Jim and John Madden.

A funeral service for Bob will take place at the St. Paul’s United Church in Fairview, at 11:00am on May 6, 2017.
