Obituary of Ian Michael McCullough
~~May 10, 1986 – May 25, 2017
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ian McCullough. Ian passed away on May 25, 2017 in his home in Grande Prairie.
Ian is survived by his parents Ken and Marlene McCullough and Kelly and Roger Allen, his sister Mandy McCullough (Ben), his partner Veronica Erskine and her children Nathan, Kaylean and Kira, his grandparents Jackie Kelly and John Retzlaff, many close family members and friends, and his dog, Rocky.
Ian was born in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. In his younger years he was an avid bowler, winning tournament and trophies with the YBC. His career was focused mostly on the retail industry, primarily food and petroleum, until his passing.
Ian’s passions included video games, hockey, collectables, and music. He loved his family and friends more than anything.
Please remember him for his kind and gentle heart, and his willingness to stand up for the “little guy”. He would want to be remembered for being a good person, his willingness to help others, and his desire to do his best. Ian underestimated the positive impact he had on those around him and how they looked up to him. Although we lost Ian at a young age, he will always be present in our hearts and memories. We love you Ian.
A funeral service for Ian will take place at Church of Christ, 8321 Mission Heights Drive, Grande Prairie, on Saturday, June 3rd, at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a youth services organization in your community or a charity of your choice.
