Our condolences to the Andres family. My memories of Ron go back to the working days with P&G when we were working the maintenance systems and I would call Ron to see if the sun was shining since he had a window to the outside and I didn't. This joke about "is the sun shining?" went on throughout our time working. Ron was always a positive person and a great person to work with. More recently we'd seen him at the A&W for breakfast and it was wonderful to catch up again. RIP Ron.

Trudy you will miss Ron every day you are alive but once the mind numbing sadness leaves the good times will be remembered. This does not mean you will not experience the pain as it will still come and go but you will be able to hold on to the happy times easier. Remember always how much he loved you.
To you children and grandchildren you also will miss him and feel sadness but know and remember how much he loved and cherished all of you all your life. You were the second most important things in his life.

I am very saddened to hear of Mr. Andres' passing. He would probably correct me, want me to call him "Ron", but when I knew him, I was between 6 and 16 years, that was how we referred to parents. I have warm memories of hanging out at Shonie's house, running around their property and playing in the shop. I distinctly remember how Mr. Andres' eyes would twinkle when he saw us kids. Particularly when he joked and teased. I remember Shonie and I arguing on the school bus about whose dad was bigger, stronger, more powerful. Shonie, you loved your dad so much! And he adored you! My heart breaks for you and your family. I know it is bittersweet, that you were given the gift of 20 more years, and what a gift that was!! I'm sorry you didn't get more! It is never enough, is it?
Praying for comfort for this terrible loss....
