Obituary of Edith Viola Tenborg

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edith Tenborg in Grande Prairie, Alberta at the age of 86.
Edith was born in Grande Prairie and raised in the Goodwin/Bezanson area. Nearly all of her adult life was spent living in Grande Prairie. At age 65 she retired from The Daily Herald Tribune where she had started as a proof reader before moving into their accounting department. Edith was an avid reader and enjoyed family events with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Edith is predeceased by her first husband, Gerald Ungstad, and is survived by their three sons David (Edie), Steven (Shelly) and Roger (Charlene), nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Edith is survived by her husband, Maurice Tenborg, three of Maurice’s four children Laverne, Linda, Russell, (Tom deceased), five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Edith is also survived by her brother William Henry (Joyce) and their four children and two grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all of her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Edith on Saturday, June 24 at the Golden Age Center (10222 101 Avenue) in Grande Prairie at 2:00 p.m.
