Obituary of Bernie Cyre

January 06, 1941 – October 29, 2017
Bernie Cyre, a great husband, an amazing father and a wonderful grandparent to all 5 of his grandchildren passed away on October 29, 2017 ag the age of 76 years.  He was loved and cherished by all family and friends that knew him and he will be sadly missed.
Bernie went to college in BC and Alberta.  He married Gail June Kelly on Feb 4, 1967.  He started out as a cook at a very young age and then progressed to driving truck (Class 1 driver).  He eventually moved to Fort McMurray where he worked in a processing plant and then started school at NAIT in Edmonton to start his welding career.  Dad welded for 44 years.
Bernie had many hobbies, golfing, race cars, carpentry, and he loved gardening.  He worked at the Penticton race track flagging and that was his passion!
We would like to thank the Grande Prairie Hospice for the great help and care that they gave Bernie.
Bernie is survived by his wife, Gail Cyre, daughter, Shannon (Nic), son, Scott Cyre,  grandchildren;  Joseph, James, Jessica, Jennifer and Logan.  He is also survived by his brothers Victor, Ernie (Nancy), Rolly (Janie), and many nieces and nephews.  His two dogs Sabrina and Charly also survive and miss him.
A Celebration of Life for Bernie will be held at a later date.
