Obituary of Manfred Karl Eckstein

September 24, 1928 – December 1, 2017
Manfred, resident of Grovedale, Alberta, passed away at Points West Hospice on December 1, 2017 at the age of 89 years. Manfred was born in the city of Nurnberg in the state of Bavaria, Germany, where he met his wife, Lieselotte.  In 1976 they moved to Canada and have been residents of Grovedale since 1977.  Manfred loved farming and horses.
He is survived by his wife, Lieselotte, his sons Dieter (late Adelaide) and Erich (Leola) of Grovedale, Alberta as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Bavaria, Germany.
Manfred was predeceased by his father Michael Eckstein in 1945 and his mother Frida Eckstein in 1986.
A Funeral service and interment for Manfred will be held at the Grovedale, Cemetery in May or June of 2018.
