To Susan and Family
I wish to express our condolences to your family. I got to know Rick through both the Swan City Rotary Club and his passions for Duck's Unlimited. I enjoyed my conversations with Rick and he never to held back on what he thought. He was very involved with his community and enjoyed life. We lost him too soon. Please accept our condolences from both myself, Angie and the Swan City Rotary Club. Our thoughts are with you and your family.

One of the ‘I’s’ Rick would talk about in our career presentations was Influence. In our career, you have the ability to influence a great number of people and families. Reading through these words, you know that Rick influenced a great number of people.
His fingerprints are seen and will be seen all over his life, family, and throughout the Sun Life world.
To echo Mr. Wells, it is a tragedy that he was taken so soon and my heart breaks for Susan and all the family.
He was always the coach and mentor, he told you what you needed to hear and not just what you wanted to hear. Some of emails are still at the NSA as they try to crack the code and find the hidden message.
He was like a second father and many of us in the office referred to him as ‘Dad’.
I’ve had a few people pass on condolences and say sorry for your loss, and yes i have lost a friend and a mentor but the world has lost so much more.

I spent 5 years walking by Ricks office and hearing "sweets!" and going in for a quick chat about something, whether it be business, golf or just some funny video that I just had to see. He was a wonderful boss, mentor and all around person. He will be greatly missed, my heart felt condolences to the family.

Dear Susan, Trevor, Michelle, Jennifer and families
I am so very sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories of Rick, Kim and I loved to come stay with you guys when you lived in Fort Macleod. I am sorry that over the years that we have lost touch through distance and just through the way that life keeps us all busy but please know you are all in my thoughts. I would like to share a part of a letter that I received when I lost my Mom, the words meant a lot to me then and continue to mean a lot... “What I know for sure is that having lost those I love and walking through the darkness of grief has been one of the most powerful and profound experiences of my life. Grief had the power to shake me to the core and challenge everything I thought I knew about myself and about others. It had the profound ability to change me, to push me forward and to transform me into someone who is wiser, loves more deeply, values those I have in my life, and appreciate every moment and every experience life has to offer”
I know what an amazing and loving family you are and that you will carry each other through this very difficult time. I am sending much love, many hugs and my deepest sympathies.
Love from all of us to all of you
Marcia and Family

I've lost two people in my life that have had a profound impact on mine and my kids lives. First was my grandfather who passed away at 99last spring. The second is now Rick Frayn.
My grandfathers passing to me was a celebration of life. At least that's how I processed it.
The passing of Rick, to me, cannot be seen the same way. It's an absolute tradgey. We have lost a great human being, well before his time. In recent days our kitchen table has heard and rehashed the countless stories and the positive impact he has on our lives to this day and how we will forever benefit from that, as have so many kitchen tables across the country. The tradgey stems from the countless lives he didn't get a chance to impact. He would have never stopped striving to help people. The tragedy exists for his family left behind after offering up a great man to go out for years to help people for the greater good and never got the chance to bring him home as deserved to enjoy him to themselves in retirement.
We will be forever thankful as so many are, for his lasting role in making us better people and parents. It's such a shame his time at changing lives was cut short.
I will never have to be reminded to not forget...
And yes, sorry abou the grammatical and spellif errors, he also taught me to type.

Dear Michelle and Jeremy, Lucas, Peyton, and Sierra,
We were so sorry to hear about your father's and grandfather's passing. We first met Rick and Susan at your wedding, Michelle and Jeremy, and I remember the hospitality and welcome from them. Rick's fun-loving personality shone through as he lead the boys on a mud run on the quads through the back country. His enthusiasm and genuine love of people made an impression on us. Susan made sure we were all well fed. What a generous couple. We know you have many more memories of Rick. Our prayers are with you at this sorrowful time.
Love,

Dear Susan and Family,
We are so saddened by the loss of such a great man. Our hearts break for you all.
I kept in contact with Rick through Facebook until the last few weeks. Julie and I enjoyed seeing you and Rick at Sun Life conferences and events. I truly looked forward to spending a little one-on-one time with him as he shared his wisdom and passion for the business. I have no doubt he is held in this high regard by so many advisors just like me.
It is said that a mans life is not measured by his success but rather his significance, by how many people he enriched and inspired. Absolutely, Rick’s life is one measured to the highest degree.
Our deepest condolences

There are so many wonderful memories that a short memo in this way could never do Rick justice. A battle in the Clarica Jug, a Scotch at the bar or a monumental task while on Council. When you walked with Rick you never walked alone! A Tremendous person has left behind a Tremendous family and a Tremendous Legacy. I have considered Rick a mentor in many ways, a leader even more and especially a friend. If I ever had a passion to be like anyone, it would be Rick Frayn.
Susan and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you mourn but also as you cherish the years that you had. No One will ever compare to Rick in my mind and in my heart.

It was an honour and a privilege to get to know you both, even if it was only for a short time. Rick was a good man and great friend. His wry sense of humour was always welcome. He just needed to keep his stick on the ice and close up the 5-hole a little bit. LOL

I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I know how close you were to him and how much you all loved him. I would love to tell you the hurt gets easier, but after losing my father in October I realize that it doesn't. However I believe talking about him, sharing the stories of him helps. Just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you all. Hugs, lots of love and take care.
