Obituary of Lorne Isaac Simpkins
October 2, 1956 – April 9, 2018
Lorne Simpkins passed away on April 9th, 2018 at the Points West Hospice in Grande Prairie, at the age of 61 years.
Lorne married Marlene on August 22, 1987 and gained two boys; Dwayne and Tyler. Lorne had two children of his own; daughter, Tina and a son, Dustin. Between them they have 12 grandchildren.
Lorne’s hobbies were hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed music and playing guitar. He loved being around his family and grandchildren.
Lorne is survived by his wife, Marlene; his children Dwayne, Tyler, Tina, and Dustin; his brothers and sisters, Patsy, Leslie, Glen, Maxine and Terry; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Alvin and Dora; numerous aunts and uncles; and his grandparents. He was also predeceased by his step-father in-law, and father-in-law; his brother-in-law and his niece Cortney Roteluik.
A Memorial Service for Lorne will be held on April 13th at 1pm at the Sexsmith Civic Center, 99 Avenue, Sexsmith.
