Obituary of Bonnie Evelyn Dawn Dorcas

August 5, 1975 – May 6, 2018

Bonnie went to heaven on May 6, 2018 at the age of 42, surrounded by friends and family in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Bonnie went to school in Edmonton where she studied to become a massage therapist. She got married September 12, 2002 to Kirk Jones. Bonnie loved working with horses and being able to help other people. She really enjoyed listening to all the little birds that would fight for a spot at the bird feeder on their bedroom window; and then listened to the frogs croak all night. She also enjoyed quiet mornings on the deck with her husband, and a good cup of coffee.

She is survived by husband, Kirk Jones; her father, Wellington Dorcas; brother, Lenard Dorcas;

sister-in-law, Gwen; nephews, Jakyb and Drake Dorcas; father and mother-in-law, Darrel and Linda Jones; brother and sister-in-law, Luke and Jodie Jones; nephews and nieces, Cale, Logan, Bailey, Levi; grandma, Katherine Balmer; and many aunties, uncles and cousins.

Bonnie was predeceased by her mom, Muriel Dorcas; her grandma, Dorothy Kish; grandpa, Peter Kish; uncle, James Kish; grandpa, Leroy Rehame; grandma, Edna Rehame; grandpa, Bill Balmer; grandma, Evelyn Dorcas; and grandpa, Wellington George Dorcas.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Bear Creek Funeral Home/Richmond Reception Centre (11802 99 Avenue, Grande Prairie).
