It has been my pleasure and privilege to have known Mr.Menard for many years. When I think of him it is always with a smile on his face, and that is always as I will remember him. Mr. Menard was a devoted husband, father and friend. He spent his life in service to his country and community. He was active in cadets, photography clubs, the Old Age Club and the Legion. He really did devote his life to others and was a force to be reckoned with. He never gave up on a project when he undertook one, like the seniors bus, which took years to achieve. On a personal level, I will always remember our drives to Comox, going to the theater, and just enjoying conversation over a meal. He used to help my granddaughter with her French and she enjoyed those times. He was always patient with Boo, because he was a natural born teacher. I always enjoyed his stories of his and Mrs. Menards travels. those two never let any moss grow under their feet. Mr. Menards energy and stamina would put many people half his age to shame. Mr. Menard, you left a big impression on me for all that you accomplished in your long, wonderful life and for that I thank you. You are truly worth remembering. Love you, Debbie

You were a friend, a comrade, a mentor and an endless source of knowledge and experience. Your zest for life and passion for helping our Legion branches and veterans drove me to follow my own course. Thank you Claude. Rest east sir.

I will miss him dearly. I loved his hugs and his presence at the legion when I worked and when I saw him around Grand Cache. He was always willing to help me when I needed advice for Legion issues. And he always told me "Don't worry, Life's too short"
