Obituary of Stanleigh Keith Hunter

With extreme heartbreak, the children of Stanleigh Hunter announce his passing on October 17th, 2018 at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie, AB at the age of 72.

Stanleigh Keith Hunter was born October 22, 1945 in Easingwold, Yorkshire, England. The 3rd child of 4 from Raddanz and Stanley Hunter. At the age of 16 Stan joined the British Merchant Navy where he travelled to many countries. His next journey in life took him to the “Great White North” as part of the Hudson Bay Company. He settled in a small community in the Northwest Territories where he married and had his four beautiful children, Tammy, Sheila, Stanleigh, and Raddanz. His children and Grandchildren were his world, they describe him as the most loving and caring father; he had a heart of gold. Worlds greatest dad and papa. He will forever be in the hearts of his family and those who knew him.

At Stanleigh’s request there will be no public service. A private gathering of his family will take place to honour him on his birthday.
