I know that no one is perfect but my grandma seemed perfect to me. I spent many summer vacations visiting her. I loved being with my grandma. I loved her hugs, they made me feel at home, safe and loved. I loved waking up in the morning to the smell of coffee brewing, coming downstairs, seeing her sitting there looking out the window, watching the birds, drinking her coffee, perfect. That is how I will remember her, all those perfect moments, at the table, or in the garden, or down by the water, just being with her. I want to be like her, active, never letting the limits of her age slow her down, independent and strong. My dear grandma, you will be missed, the sun is a little dimmer but I know the heavens shine brighter with you there and now we all have the best angel watching over us. Love you, grandma.
