Obituary of Denise Renee Dyck
November 25, 1966 – April 24, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we say “until next time” to our Mum, best friend and Nan, Denise “Neesie” Renee Dyck. She passed away the morning of April 24th, 2019 at the hospice in Grande Prairie, Alberta after a long, hard battle with cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones and in the thoughts and prayers of many when she passed.
Denise was predeceased by her parents, Laurence and Madeleine (nee Girard) Dyck. She is survived by her daughter Rachel Calhoun and son Zachary Calhoun. She was able to watch from the heavens as her grandson, Greyson was born the night of April 24th.Denise also leaves behind two brothers and sister-in-law, Ken and Kate Dyck and Ron Dyck. She is also survived by her best friends Sheri-Ann, Donna and Hilary. She leaves behind many friends from golf, her career as an administrator at NTL Pipelines, her career with Scotia Bank, as well as her days as a Hairstylist; and many others that were proud to call her Mum and friend. Everyone helped her to cope with life and everything that life threw at her.
Neesie will be remembered for her love of family, her shining personality and infectious joy for everything life has to offer. As an avid golfer, she could be found out golfing and volunteering with the Dunes Golf and Country Club. She had a travel bug and enjoyed traveling all over the world with family and friends, whether it be a quick trip to Las Vegas for shopping and birthday festivities or longer vacations to places with sandy beaches, sun, the ocean and cold beverages.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the Dunes Golf & Country Club at a later date.
