Obituary of Wilfrid (Wilf) Chateau

UPDATED FUNERAL INFORMATION FOR Wilfred Chateau

March 3, 1932 – October 5, 2019

It is with heavy hearts the family of Wilfrid J. Chateau announces his passing on October 5, 2019 at the age of 87 years.

Wilf passed away peacefully with family by his side, as a resident of the Citadel Long Term Care in St. Albert, AB.

He will be lovingly remembered by Florence, his wife and companion of 63 years; children Shannon Busby (Brad), Patrick (Tammy Lynn Griffin), Debra Lascelle, Brenda Litke (Glenn), Suzanne Fuhr (Chris); 12 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren; brother Henry (Helen), sisters Helen Milner, Therese Dion (Roger), Charlotte Madden (Wayne); sisters-in-law Beverly Lowe, Mae Kulver, and brother-in-law Blaine Griffith (Donna) along with several nieces and nephews.

Wilf was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Rose Chateau, son-in-law Roch Lascelle, and great grandson Elliott Grayston; brothers-in-law Aubrey Milner, Lee Griffith, George Kulver, Russell Lowe, Laverne Knox, and sister-in-law Jean Knox.

A Prayer service for Wilf will be held on October 11, 2019 at 7pm at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Fairview and a Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 11 am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Interment to follow at Friedenstal Cemetery, Fairview.
