I am just learning now of Shaun's passing. Just last week while getting my groceries at No Frills I wondered where he was. I was a customer to Shaun but I loved to see him. I would get a hug and a grocery cart and then the joke "Shaun do they pay you enough working here at No Frills?" My sincere condolences to the family of Shaun. He touched my heart and probably many other customers you may never hear from. God bless.

I didn't know Shaun well, but his big smile was hard to miss at the pool. Shaun was often in the lazy river when the mommy & me swim class was in session. When the dance music was cranked up, Shaun would dance & be silly each time we cruised by doing laps. He got smiles out of a lot of ladies with his dance moves & outgoing personality. My condolences to Shaun's family & friends

I had the privilege of knowing Shaun for 4 years while working at camp tamarack. He knew me as Timber. I will never forget how easy it was for him to put a smile on everyone's face. He was honestly one of the kindest, funniest and most carrying people I have ever met.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Shaun's family and all his friends for their loss of this great man.

To Shaun's Family
I worked for Signiture for five years and for which I grew a great friendship with Shaun. He was amazing person who loved with all his heart and was so kind and giving to everyone. I will never forget my first shift at Patterson he was so inviting and welcoming me into his home. I knew from the moment I met Shaun we would become great friends he had a beautiful smile and could flirt his way through anything even to convince me of renting WWE pay perview at my place but watching him and the guys play out the moves was totally worth it. When I left Grande Prairie Shaun and the gang at 214 had a wedding reception for me and my husband it was one of the happiest times spent while living in Grande Prairie. I have so many memories and I will cherish them forever I am so sorry for your loss and you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

The first time I met Shaun was in the fall of 2000 or 2001. I had applied to a group home with absolutely no experience in that field and was pretty nervous for my orientation in Shaun's house. He had a couple of roommates, Bryan Hosker being one of them and I would be working mainly with them. When I got to the house, Shaun was busy doing dishes. The supervisor introduced us and Shaun greeted me with a big kiss on the cheek and a "hello beautiful, are you single?" That instantly put me at ease and I spent the next 2 years learning from him what friendship, laughter, love and wrestling was all about! I remember when Shaun and Bryan decided they were going to eat healthier and I still can't stand subway! They actually amazed me with their dedication! Shaun worked out hard and while I counted bryans reps with him, Shaun would encourage him to keep going like the rock would. Soon it would become quiet and I'd find Shaun over at cardio saying "hi beautiful, are you single?" to the pretty girl going for her morning workout. He was quite the charmer and made many friends.
I spent Christmas decorating and going to every Christmas party in town with him! Subway went out the window for the month of December but hey, he earned it. On New Year's Eve his house decided they were going to the bar for kareoke and I wasn't going to miss out on that! I decided I'd do a sleepover with them on the spur of the moment so they came along to my apartment so I could pick up extra clothes. We had another guy with us and as I was locking my door, he decided to pull the fire alarm. For anyone who's ever worked in a group home you KNOW fire drills are practiced monthly and these guys KNOW the drill! Bryan ran one way, Shaun ran the other way and as I was trying to get the guy who pulled the alarm to stop laughing and run with us, I realized the guys hit the exits at the opposite side of the building....needless to say, people were coming out into the hallways to see what was going on which made it even more hectic trying to round everyone up. By the time I had Bryan and Joe at the entrance, the fire truck was pulling up so I told them to stay put while I looked for Shaun. I made it a few doors down the hall when I heard the familiar "hello beautiful, are you single".
After all that excitement they were still raring to go to kareoke. This was back in my early 30's when I had the energy to keep up with them! It was the most memorable New Year's I ever rang in.
The crown was pretty full when we arrived and the guys were disappointed to find out there was no kareoke that night. We got some surprised looks when we got a table and the guys ordered a drink and some food. A lot of people even made rude passing remarks about them being in a bar and having a drink. While it visibly angered me, Shaun waved his hand away and said who cares about them dummies. Before the hour was up, they were singing kareoke with the piano guy, dancing and we had a crowd of fans through the night. The transformation in people when they saw these guys didn't give a damn what they thought, what they sounded like singing or looked like dancing made a lasting impression. I'm sure the saying "sing like no ones listening, dance like no ones watching and love like you'll never be hurt" came from New Years Eve 2002. In the spring we were out grocery shopping together when we lost Shaun. We found him in the paper aisle "hi beautiful, are you still single?". She danced a few dances with him at New Years and told me it was the best New Years ever! I'd have to agree.
Though I ended up with a different company, I often kept in touch with Shaun until I moved. I am still in the field but as a support home operator now and every New Years I reminisce about that one. I will miss Shaun, his sensitivity, his humor, his laugh, his determination. And his "hi beautiful, are you single".
God rest your sweet sweet soul dear Shaun, we will never forget you.

I wish to express my deepest condolences to the entire family.
Shaun became a part of my life 20 years ago at The Leisure Centre. He was so sweet and kind and every time he saw me his face lit up, next came my kiss and bear hug. He made my day so much brighter when I saw him. He could take me from being stressed to happy in 10 seconds flat.
He will most certainly be missed by me and many of his friends at Eastlink Centre. You are in my prayers and thoughts.
