Miss Alice
So many joyful memories of Mr. David:
1) him taking the boys for tractor rides at the Debolt homestead.
2) cooking steaks and bbqing on the deck
3) listening to Enrico Caruso while chatting around the outside table
4) sitting in his shop at the farm with all the tools and machines around himself
5) all those tap shoes.... oh all those tap shoes.
6) gentle moments of hugs
7) his patient ears and totally non-judgement advice for me
8) how he could sell a car.... wow.
9) the windmill
10)making our new table with Bill - Christmas of 2000
My strongest memory of Mr. David is of how he loved and cherished you. How even in this last year of dementia he looked at you with such love, even then I know that he would have laid down his life to protect you from anything/one. He was a great example of what a respectful or loving husband (and to me, pseudo-father) could and should be.
My thoughts, my heart and my prayers go out to you.
God give you strength and grace to heal your sorrowful heart,
He is missed!!!
"overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us. For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels won’t, and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God’s love away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, or where we are—high above the sky, or in the deepest ocean—nothing will ever be able to separate us from the love of God demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ when he died for us." Romans 8:37-38
With all the love I can give you..... see you soon.
