Obituary of Ursula Klatt
Ursula Klatt, resident of Grande Prairie, passed away at 84 years on April 23, 2015. She was born in Germany April 14, 1931. She came to Hines Creek, AB, in 1953 where she married Rudolf Klatt. They farmed there until they moved to Summerland, BC, in 1979.
In 2003, Ursula moved back to Grande Prairie and resided there until her passing.
Ursula is survived by her daughter, Mary Richardson, granddaughter Angela (Brant Poirier) and great grandchildren Lauren and Jackson, grandson Darryl (Jenny) and great grandchildren Callum and Livvie, her sister Ingrid in Germany and her brother Klaus (Alicia) in Germany and some cousins there as well. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Rudolf in 2003, son-in-law Edward in 2001.
Ursula was a very hard worker and no task was left undone. She had a real green thumb in gardening and grew vegetables in abundance. Every summer she would have a huge pot of pink petunias cascading out of the flower pot, using her “secret ingredients “to enhance their growth. She loved to have company come over for coffee and visit. Listening to music was also a joy.
A memorial service and celebration of life is to be held Saturday, May 9, at l p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church (9614 108Ave Grande Prairie). Lunch will follow. Final resting place will be in Hines Creek.
In lieu of flowers for expressions of sympathy, donations to the CNIB would be greatly appreciated.
