Alojza (Alice) Maria Majewski (nee: Drozdek)
June 18, 1936 - May 29, 2019
Alice went peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 82.
She was born in Trocele, Yugoslavia on June 18, 1936 to Mikhal & Otylia Drozdek. After the passing of her father, when she was 9 years old, her mother and Aunt Anna, moved Alice & her siblings to Kruszyn, Poland to start a new life. After finishing her studies, Alice obtained an office position within her school during the days and worked on the family farm in the evenings until she came to Canada. Alice married Jozef Majewski on October 5, 1964 in Grande Prairie and they were blessed with 5 children.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Nikki (Kendal) Lovrod, Robert (Sandra), Gordon (Val), Stani (Lawrence) Midwinter, and Otilja (spelt the "Canadian Way"). Alice leaves behind her 7 grandchildren; Samantha, Gordon & Kylee Majewski, Lindsay & Nathan Lovrod, David & Daniel Whalen and her 2 great grandchildren; Ember & Hazel all of whom she loved dearly. Alice also leaves behind her siblings, numerous nieces and nephews and friends located in both Canada and Poland.
Alice was predeceased by her parents Mikhal and Otylia Drozdek, Aunt Anna Gerak, brother Frank Drozdek and her husband Jozef Majewski.
Celebration of Life to be held on June 7th, 7pm at the Oasis Church 10126-101 Avenue, Grande Prairie, AB.
