Very sorry for your loss. Bill will be dearly missed. I first met Bill many, many years ago when we were on the same entertainment show. I was just developing my musical routine and Bill was very supportive and always had some good ideas as he was, of course, a musician as well. He was a superb conversationalist and entertainer and taught me how to keep the pitch and patter going. He was never lost for words! I loved also that his family often came with him to his shows so I also got to know Rose and some of the kids. I was always delighted whenever our paths crossed on the entertainment circuit. I will miss Bill very much as a fellow showman and friend.

I have so many great memories of Bill. When I was a Beaver Leader for Scouts Canada he came and spoke to the boys about the constellation in and enjoyed tobogganing with us under a starry sky. He was also a member of the CentralPeace Community Players where we all had great fun in skits and plays we put on. As wellhe put on a great magic show for the RCMP and Victims Services. He handcuffed me to one of the officers and we had to figure out how to escape! Lol ! Bill was a pleasure to be friends with, and I will cherish those memories. I moved away from the Peace Country many years ago, but tucked away in the recesed of my heart, are the veru best times
My sincerest condolences to his family and friends. May he continue helping, and enteraining others in our heavenly skys.

My condolences to Bill’s family. I had not seen Bill since our Santa Fe High School reunuion almost 30 years ago. We had reconnected on Facebook. I was so impressed by his comments on my postings and I realized I had greatly underestimated his intelligence and his abilities. He was a Jack of all trades! The obituary was a beautiful tribute to a special man. I will miss his postings and his thoughtful replies to mine.

You were one of a kind as a friend Bill and I will always cherish the memories of our friendship for the past 51 years. You always made me laugh. I loved your caring personality and how much you loved your family. I am so happy that you shared such a loving and happy relationship with Rose. You were a match made in heaven. Your greatest legacy is your family whom you loved dearly. Your life and memories will live on through each of them. May you rest in peace. You earned it my friend. Entertain heaven with your writing, art, magic, and musical talent. You never realized just how talented you were. Until we all meet again my friend.

Brother, drummer, magician & author. Bill you taught me so much about life. I really did pay attention even though you thought I didn't. I miss you, but you will always be in my thoughts as I remember getting to go with you so many times to set up your drums at gigs all over Galveston & Brazoria county. I was in awe of you as a drummer! We will see each other again in Heaven!

A very touching, well deserved tribute. So happy you shared so many wonderful years and memories and that I had the chance to meet and know Bill. Now that I have read the tribute, I feel I understand him even better. As to grapho-analyisis, when I delivered Bill to the Edmonton bus depot in 1974, he analyzed my hand writing and that of the A & W waitress serving our supper, trying to set us up. It never came to be, which is a good thing. My soul mate and I have been married for almost 42 years. Somewhere, up in Heaven there is the sound of drums and laughter.
Much Love
Your Brother Allan and Sister Pat

I tell you Bill was a lot of fun !
An excellent drummer !!!! I heard he was a magician . I wished I would have seen his magic tricks , anyways .
When Bill said he was coming to a practise you could count on him .You always knew he would be at a practise or jam if he said he was!! He loved his music as much as anybody I know . Oh man , the stories !!! What a life he had lived !!!!! We all enjoyed his stories of being on stage playing his drums with many great performers or learning his magic . I will miss him , as I thought we might still get together and play music again , I know he loved his children , and his grandchildren . He Always had only positive things to say about his darling wife and children . A good man , decent and caring for those around him , and he would help anyone .

From the sweltering south of Texas to the frozen north of Alberta, Bill always found a way to do it his way. Without a doubt he's now enjoying the biggest drum kit of his life and doing some pretty awesome rope tricks.
Our sincerest condolences go to his entire family on both sides of the border. From Bill & Marilyn Gould, and sons Jason, James, and Johnathan.
