We will remember your father/father-in law/grandfather/Uncle as a gentle soul with his quiet demeanour and as part of our church family - may he rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you all.

Both Uncle John and Auntie Mary were like angels in my life - always encouraging, supportive, hard working and wise. May God wrap his loving arms around them and unite them with son Ken, and my wonderful dad (brother William) until we can all join up again. I am sure Uncle John and Dad are talking farming and fishing - and probably dealing some hands of cards. May they continue to watch over us. Always in love - niece Cindy Nikiforuk

When I look at the photos here, especially the one of my Uncle John in his blue shirt as a younger man, I just feel so happy. I loved his smile it was always accompanied by his twinkling eyes and a warm sense that life was good. I appreciated his contented heart and love for a quieter life of farming and doing things with his family. Does it get any better than this? When I see these photos again, I immediately hear his little giggle that would come when he was amused about something in our conversation. I have some wonderful photos of he and I out on his grain field after my dad passed away that I will treasure forever. May the LORD give his family peace and comfort as they mourn together.

I will always remember Uncle John with a big smile and twinkle in his eye. He lived life to the fullest, working hard and taking time to raise his family. He loved to stay involved in the lives of his children and grandkids and was so proud of them.
When our family would come to visit Spirit River in the summer, Uncle John was always working hard on the farm, planting or harvesting his crops. He was never one to sit around and he always had a project on the go. We enjoyed delicious meals together in their family home! It was great to hear how he was active in his community, busy curling, square dancing, playing bingo and fishing.
I admired Uncle John’s energy for life, his hard work ethic, and his love for his family. He will be truly missed.
Love,
Betty Johnson

I am so happy that John and Marion are reunited, laughing and dancing under the stars, while Ken looks on and smiles.
