Herb Andres

February 16, 1939 – November 24, 2019

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Herb Andres on November 24, 2019 at the age of 80 years.

Herb was born in Fawcett to Egon and Irene Andres.  He went to work in logging camps at a young age o support his family still at home on the farm. In 1970 he married and he and his wife had a son, Bruce.  The marriage dissolved and Herb became a single parent. He worked as a gas plant operator for Gibsons and for CNRL for close to 30 years. Herb remarried in 1986 to Irene Callaghan and together they farmed in Fawcett and  he relocated to Grande Prairie in 2018 where he lived until his passing. 

Herb is survived by his wife, Irene; his son Bruce (Lisa); brothers Vern (Marg) Andres, Art (Gail) Adres, and Erwin (Lynda) Andres and his sister, Iris (Denis) Kerik.

He was predeceased by his father, Egon and his mother, Irene Andres.

A Celebration of Life for Herb will be held at a later date.
