Obituary of (Sonny) Maurice Clarence Engebretson

May 14, 1934 – December 1, 2019

Sonny Engebretson was born in Canyon Creek to Louise and Herbert Engebretson on May 14, 1934 and passed away on December 1, 2019 in Spirit River, Alberta at the age of 85 years.

Sonny met Nora at the age of 12 years, at a racetrack in Kinuso. Nora was nine at the time and they married on October 30, 1953 in Canyon Creek and started their married life there, before moving to Spirit River in 1957.  Sonny and Nora were married for 66 years.

He leaves behind his children; Beverly (Ron), Arthur, Coleman, Colleen (Ken), Darcy (Corinne) and Brenda (Ivor) as well as 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

There will be no service for Sonny at this time.
