Obituary of Jennie Olderskog

January 27, 1935 - December 3, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Jennie Olderskog announces her passing on Dec. 3, 2019.

Jennie was born Jan. 27, 1935 at Watino, AB to Karl and Stephie Mycek. She attended public school in Watino, AB and later attended high school in Spirit River, AB. She moved to Grande Prairie, AB to work for the Northern Alberta Railway where she met Arvid Olderskog who also worked at the NAR. They were married on June 25, 1960, in Watino, AB. They established their farmstead in 1964 just East of Grande Prairie, AB where they raised their family.

Jennie is survived by her loving husband Arvid Olderskog, son Rick (Eloise) Olderskog, son Darcy (Kathleen) Olderskog, daughter Marjorie (Chris Antolak) Olderskog, granddaughters Kaylee (Donald Tse) Olderskog, Sydney Olderskog, brother Walter Mycek, brothers and sisters in law, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jennie was predeceased by, her father Karl Mycek, mother Stephie Mycek, sister Margie Cheperdak, brother-in-law Peter Cheperdak, sister-in-law Hazel Tofteland, nephew Harley Tofteland, nieces Debbie Mycek, and Cindy Wesolowski

Jennie's Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at 2:00 pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home (11802 99 Avenue, Grande Prairie).
