Obituary of Bryce Clifford Berg

February 28, 1942 – December 2, 2019 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Bryce Clifford Berg, on December 2, 2019, in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Surrounded by family and close friends, Bryce held his caring spirit and sense of humour until the end. Grieving the loss of Bryce are his wife Joan, daughters Shelley, Cindy and Kathy, and grandchildren Benjamin, Katie, McKinna and Hannah. Bryce was born on February 28, 1942 in Sexsmith, Alberta. While he moved from Sexsmith, he never strayed far from the Peace region, and was fortunate to call several places in Northern Alberta home, including La Glace, Valhalla, High Level, and then Grande Prairie, where he settled and eventually became a recognized face in the community. Bryce wore many hats throughout his life; whether he was working as a farmer or salesman, or tinkering with tools or telling a tall tale, he did it with a passion that was admirable. As hard as he worked, he could play with the same tireless enthusiasm, and was the life of many parties. In his younger adult years, Bryce shared his love of the outdoors with his family and friends, on camping trips, swims in the lake, and weekend treks on horseback. Later in life when he developed interests in curling and gardening, he was always eager to share his knowledge and harvest! Bryce had a smile for everyone he met, and always had time for a visit. He was known for his lighthearted wisdom and thoughtfulness toward those he cared about. Bryce will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of us who had the good fortune of knowing him. A gathering of friends and family, to celebrate Bryce’s life will be held in Grande Prairie, future date to be determined.
