I will miss Al, and I will remember the time we tried to assemble a dresser from JYSK. He was patient and I was cursing. There were a thousand parts and an incomprehensible diagram and I LOST it. I will also remember his high school diploma on the wall of his apartment, which was dated 1973. His venture into the Jehovah Witness thing was his only failing, as far as I am concerned. You were a buddy to me and Dave, Alan Schettle, and I wish you peace and all the affirmation and affection you gave us. You were a gambler and a lover and a friend, and Dave has wept many times at the news that you will not be toddling up to visit us any more.

Alan will be remembered for his kindness and great sense of humour. I've know Alan since 2002, his old Wapiti Dorm days. I loved that twinkle in his eyes especially when he was telling a funny story. I'm sure he's talking Norm Foster's ears off.
My condolences to his family and friends.
Marie Mac Isaac.
