We pass on our sincerest condolences to all of Henry’s family. May he ‘Rest in Peace’………
I always looked up to both my older brothers! Growing up in Saskatchewan was a different life that few people would understand in this era. While our lives took separate paths, we always managed to communicate and catch up on what was happening in each other’s lives.
Losing my brother Leo in 1997 was hard for me. I then realized that ‘life’ was not what I had anticipated as he passed away much too early and left me appreciating all I had. And, I am sure Henry felt the same.
I could relate some stories from way back when but, I think they are better left unsaid! Henry enjoyed a varied life and moved around between Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Alberta. He always had family nearby which, he loved and admired.
One early memory of mine - Henry loved to hunt and in his early 20’s (I believe – memories tend to fade) he was shot through his leg by a fellow hunter as he had his moose hung in a tree and was doing the cleaning!!!
We know that Henry has suffered greatly in his last years and admire that he always had a smile for everyone, no matter what.
We would like all of his family to know that we feel your pain also, but, ask you to remember that when you feel raindrops following softly on your faces, it is his tears from Heaven remembering you all – his children, grand-children, great grand-children and all. Just remember when you feel those rain drops, he is now resting in a better place, smiling down and watching over you all and praying that you all have the best life you deserve!
The twinkle in the eye and his mischievous smile will remain in my mind forever!
