Obituary of Ann McDonald
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ann McDonald, longtime resident of Grande Prairie, Alberta who passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, July 21, 2014 at the age of 90. Ann was born on November 7, 1923, in Lowefarm, Manitoba. Ann met the love of her life, Gordon, while she was working on a farm in Manitoba and they were married on October 1, 1948. Together they raised 8 children. Ann had a passion for dancing and also loved to watch baseball and cheer on her favorite team, the Toronto Blue Jays.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Gordon McDonald of 65 years, her children Sandy (Sheila) McDonald, Barb (Andy) Tarnowski, Don (Kelly) McDonald, Marie (Bob) Froehlick, Joanne McDonald, Jackie (Mark) Graunke; Grandchildren, Shannon, Ferrin, Charlie, Erin, Clinton, Jessica, Shauna, Shamus, Dana, Ben, Cole; Great grandchildren, Owen, Jacob, Reese, Adam, Kypton, Mia, Lux, Ethan, Krystal, Joey, Sammy, Chase, Sienna and Devin. Anne was predeceased by her daughter Carol in 1971 and her son Andy in 2000.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life for Ann, to be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM at The Elk’s Hall in Grande Prairie (10806 106 St, Grande Prairie). Luncheon provided. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (Suite 109-10126 120 Ave, Grande Prairie, AB T8V 8H9) or a charity of one’s choice.
