Longtime Peavine resident of Peavine Metis Settlement, brave firefighter, and “Jackie of all trades” James “Jackie” Carifelle passed away on June 25, 2015 at the age of 55 years. Jackie is survived by his children Jeffrey Vawter, Cory Vawter, Daniel Calliou, and Derrick Calliou; his grandchildren Alexander, Sean, Hope, Serrae, Tianna, Danielle, Cory, Chloe, Tao, Layla, Taliyah, and baby JJ; and his siblings Frankie, Glen, Sandra, Todd, Tony, and Lyla Carifelle, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. Jackie was pre-deceased by his dad Robert Carifelle, mom Vina Coutre, and his brother Roy Carifelle. The wake will commence at Peavine Metis Settlement Recreation Hall at 3 PM on Sunday, July 5th.
