It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of A. George Sauder in Grande Prairie, Alberta at the age of 91. George was born in Rush Lake, Saskatchewan to Adolf and Adella Sauder and grew up in the area of Swift Current, Saskatchewan until the age of 17. In March of 1940, the family moved to Ellscott, Alberta and in November 1940 moved to Northmark, Alberta. In 1948, George homesteaded with his parents in the Josephine Creek area. In 1951, he married Anna Baum and together they farmed until retirement. George is survived by his wife Anna and their children Russell & Marjorie Sauder, Sheryl Leslie, Myron & Audrey Sauder, Gwen & Julien Cloutier, Phil & Stacy Sauder, JoAnne & Blake Kraeker, 14 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren. A funeral service for A. George Sauder will be held on Monday July 27, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church (9614 108 Avenue) at 2pm.
