Obituary of Ashley Dawn Holowaychuk

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ashley Dawn Holowaychuk on August 11, 2015 at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton. Ashley was born June 12, 1988 in Grande Prairie, Alberta and graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in 2006. Ashley was a very sweet, loving little girl. She loved people always wanting to talk to them starting with a friendly “Hi”. She was very motherly and compassionate towards others. A typical girl, she loved to play with dolls and bake with her Grandma’s: she was a loving Daughter and Sister. Always enthusiastic, Ashley was every teacher’s dream. She learned to read and write at a young age helping her excel throughout school. Ashley loved to draw, paint, sing and write. She was a very creative soul, at age 12 she had one of her poems published in the “Imagination Express” book of poetry. Ashley grew into a beautiful free spirited young woman. She was thoughtful with a big heart, a warm smile and a great sense of humor. She loved to travel and had an abundance of friends. She also loved cats, including her own cat “Princess”. Ashley’s hard work at various retail and service jobs over the years was appreciated by her co-workers and customers alike. Although her life’s journey was short, Ashley touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Forever remembering Ashley will be her loving parents Ray and Holly Holowaychuk, brother Kyle Holowaychuk, grandmother Pearl Holowaychuk, grandparents Don and P.J. Guy, grandmother Betty Berg, aunt and uncle Calvin and Glenda Guy, aunt and uncle Evie and Jeff Van de Bennet, cousins Justin and Melissa Guy, Joel Guy, Tate and Tia Van de Bennet and niece Berlin Holowaychuk as well as numerous other relatives.
