Elaine Lanigan, 78, longtime resident of Sexsmith and Grande Prairie, passed away peacefully July 19, surrounded by her family. She was pre-deceased by her son Jamie, and is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jim, daughters Chery Holscher (Kim), Sandy Duncan (Bill), son Terri (Patti), grandchildren Jarrid (Karen), Dillon (Sarah), Danielle, Liam, Sean, and Shay, and three great-grandchildren Aubri, Brinlee, and Ainsley. At Elaine’s request, no funeral service will be held. A gathering to celebrate Elaine’s life will be held at a later date. If so wished, memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
