It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Madonna Anne Kelly on October 6, 2015 after a brief battle with cancer. Madonna was born to John and Marguerite White on July 20, 1957 in Placentia, Newfoundland. She was blessed to have a large and loving family. Madonna’s youth was filled with family gatherings, an active school life, and a strong Catholic faith. As she got older, Madonna settled down and continued on to have four loving daughters. After spending many years in Newfoundland, the family then moved to Grande Prairie, AB. There she continued to enjoy time with her family, which included five grandchildren that she adored. In recent years Madonna enjoyed travelling and spending time in the sun. Madonna is survived by her four daughters: Julie (Cory), Donna (Tom), Krista (Joel), Gina and their father Gene (Aiden) Kelly; grandchildren: Sarah, Nathan, Kori-Ann, Audrey and Carter. Mother and step-father Marguerite and Alan Singleton, sister Karen (Lorne); brothers; Gerard (Denise), Wayne, John, Keith (Brenda), Neil (Darlene), Len (Anne) and Johnny (Tammy). Also longtime friend Stella Kelly, as well as many other cherished family members. Madonna is predeceased by her father John White, brother Alan Singleton Jr. and many other beloved members of the White/Kelly families. Madonna’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Points West Hospice, as well as the staff of 3 North in the QE11 Hospital for the amazing care that was given to Madonna and her family. Prayer Service will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, October 9 at 5 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday October 10th in Grande Prairie.
