Obituary of Aaron N. Halonen
Aaron Nicholas Halonen of Edmonton, formerly of Grande Prairie, left this world to be with our Heavenly Father on October 4, 2015 at the age of 21 (b. June 29, 1994) after a courageous battle with cancer.
Aaron is survived by his loving parents, Craig and Toni; also mourning his loss are siblings Justin (gf Jessica), Brenden, Kristen and Kaitlyn and his true love, Linneah Soderholm-Martell; grandparents Leo & Alice and Ron & Valerie Whitson along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Before moving to Grande Prairie in 2005, Aaron danced with the Zorya Ukrainian Dance troupe in Redwater, AB, displaying a natural grace and short lived affinity for the art. In his early teen years he joined his older brothers and became a member of the 577 RCACS for a short time, excelling in drill. Aaron graduated from St. Joseph CHS in the spring of 2012 after serving on the Grad Council. While contemplating the many things life had to offer him, he worked in various positions at the Westgate Boston Pizza before settling into the bar tending position. It suited Aaron well as he was a ‘people person’ and enjoyed socializing, as his many friends can attest to.
Cremation of Aaron’s earthly remains have taken place and a funeral mass will take place on October 24th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church located at 10404 102 Street in Grande Prairie, AB.
If desired, donations to http://www.terryfox.org in memory of Aaron would be greatly appreciated.
