On Oct. 11, 2015 Len succumbed to injuries, sustained from a motor vehicle accident that occurred Sept. 29, 2015. Len had resided in the Grande Prairie area since 1971. He was predeceased by Ruth, his wife of 44 years in 2000 and son-in-law, Ken Rutherford, in 2010. Len is survived by his children Patricia-Ann J. Jardie-Wert, Lenna Rutherford (Amanda , Daniel), Maureen Wert-McCallum (Lawrence: Duncan), Janet Purdy (Ron: Mateah) and Grant Wert (Kelsie, Kadie, John) and extended family.
