I sailed with Brian on the HMCS Provider many years ago in the 70's. My memory of Brian is that he was an out standing individual with a wonderful sense of humour. A fun guy to be around with a constant smile and very good at our Bosun trade. I very much respected him. I do remember an incident in Australia when we were putting rat guards on the mooring lines and all his tools fell out of his leather pouch into the water along side the pier. We laughed about that for a long time. If my memory stands correct it was Brian that I talked into taking skydiving lessons in Australia or New Zealand. I also remember Brian telling me about uncle Art who was an Art director for the TV show Manix. How I remember that I have no idea. Perhaps it was Brian's positive influence.
I have nothing but good memories of those navy days and it was Brian that made that experience for us young guys so great.
I send Brian's wife and family my sincere condolences.
A great guy that died far to young.

Our deepest sympathies to the family for your loss. Thinking of Brian is always of him smiling or laughing. He seemed to find the humour in everything and had such zest for life. Brian will be missed but the memory of his smile will be engrained in memory forever.
