Dean Marwin Person
December 9, 1955 ~ November 30, 2015
Dean Marwin Person, born in Calgary on December 9th, 1955, passed away peacefully at the U of A Hospital in Edmonton with loved ones at his side, on November 30th, 2015.
Dean had a 25 year career at Weyerhauser, a job he enjoyed and was affectionately known as “Dino” by his friends and colleagues. Upon his passing, he was employed at SNC-LAVALIN where he was able to continue to learn and enjoyed expanding his knowledge.
Dean loved adventure, travel, cooking, painting and many sports. Above all, Dean’s patience for the growth, success and accomplishments of his grandchildren took priority as they were always his pride and joy.
Dean will be missed and forever in the hearts of his compassionate lifelong partner, Charlene and children; David (Hala), Angela (Pax) and Tammy (Tory). Dean was a gentle, caring grandfather and will be forever in the hearts of his grandchildren; Austin, Kaydence, Ashton, Hayley, Ethan and Abbigayle.
Dean will also be missed by his siblings; Ross (Joan) Person, Shawna (Neil) Perry, Cheryl (Ed) Friesen, Kevin (Maria) Person, Karen (David) Crowe, and Lori Person, as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Dean is predeceased by his loving parents, Walter and Ivy Person.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 10th, 2015 at 11:30 am in the Church of Christ Mission Heights, 8321 Mission Heights Drive. The service will be followed by a luncheon.
