Rene Sloat resident of Woking (Westmark) died suddenly in his home on December 1, 2015 at the age of 52. Rene went to school in Woking and Spirit River and started his working career with the department of highways and then went on to work for Valard Power for over thirty years. His hobbies were hunting, fishing and spending time at his beloved cabin with friends. He leaves to celebrate his life daughter Morgan Sloat (Zachary Snauwaert), son Chanse Sloat (Mother – Giselle Marsollier), brother Jed Sloat (Audrey), sisters Karen Compagnon (Fonse) & Carol Sloat as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and very close friends. Rene is now resting with his parents Alfred & Erika, Grandparents Fred & Elise Egge and Harry & Irene Sloat as well as Baby Brother Calvin. A celebration of life will beheld Sunday December 6, 2015 at 11:00am at The Ag Centre in Rycroft.
