Obituary of Thora Grenier
It is with heavy hearts, we mournfully announce the passing of Thora Grenier who went to be with her Saviour on December 3, 2015.
Thora was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on October 12, 1947 to Anders and Isabelle Littleton. She was raised
in Dalmeny. After high school she moved to Saskatoon to work at the Star Phoenix newspaper and she then moved to Grande Prairie in 1970 to work as a receptionist at the Daily Herald Tribune. She met Ray a few months later and they married in 1974. Soon after Thora joined the crew at Granco Real Estate and Rimrock Homes where she was passionate in helping families find and build their dream homes. In 1977 Ray and Thora built their own dream home and completed their family with the birth of their only child, Chantal. Thora left real estate in 1981 and in 1983 she and Ray worked together to build GP Promotional Products into the successful business it is today.
Thora loved gardening and
took great pride in her garden. Even as her health deteriorated she found the time and strength to do what she loved. She delighted in her grandchildren James and Ben. They brought her great joy and laughter. She enjoyed spending time with her dear friends, many of whom were her sorority sisters from Beta Sigma Phi, and staying connected with them through social media.
Thora is survived by her husband, Ray Grenier, her daughter Chantal Puls (Chris) and her grandsons James and Ben. She passed away peacefully at home at the age of 68.
Please join us at the Pomeroy Hotel (formerly the GP Inn) Salon A/B on Tuesday December 8, 2015 for a Memorial open house any time between 2 – 5pm to honor Thora.
