Obituary of Cecile Angen

Cecile Theodora Angen passed away at the Grande Prairie QE11 Hospital on Monday, December 7, 2015. Cecile was born in LaGlace, Alberta on September 27, 1920 and lived in LaGlace for about 80 years. She took great pride in being a mother, wife and homemaker. She had a great reputation for being an excellent cook and for her homemade baking. The most important thing in her life was her family and she took great pleasure in spending time with her kids, her grandchildren and any other family members. She loved animals and could not tolerate cruelty to animals. She enjoyed watching sports on TV and she maintained an interest in world affairs. In later years Cecile became an accomplished painter and she also enjoyed ceramics, Cecile is lovingly remembered by her son, Garry Angen (Lynn) of LaGlace; her daughter Gail Risvold (Ross), of Hinton, Alberta; her brother Chester [Joan] Sandboe; sisters in law Christine Sandboe and Ruby Sandboe; Rosemarie’s special friend, Buzz Sallis; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Cecile is predeceased by her husband, Olaf Angen; her daughter, Rosemarie Angen; her parents, Carl and Clara Sandboe; her brothers, Raymond, Gordon, Cyril and Talbert Sandboe; her sister, Eunice Gregory; her brother-in-law, Chic Gregory and her sisters-in-law, Helen and Rosemarie Sandboe. Funeral service for Cecile will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church, LaGlace, on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 1pm with Pastor Dave Friesen officiating. Interment to follow at Northfield Cemetery. A reception will take place following the interment.
