Obituary of Thomas David Clark
Born in Brooks on July 31, 1950, Tom grew up
in Lethbridge, Alberta. As a long time resident of Wembley, Tom was
valued as a responsible citizen, an avid sportsman, and a devoted family man.
Tom passed away on August 8, 2013, in Grande Prairie.
Predeceased by his parents, Robert David and Ruth Clark of White Rock,
BC, he leaves to mourn his loss: his dedicated wife, Mary Ellen; his children
Jennifer Dwyer (Jerry), David (Bonnie), and John (Crystal); his grandchildren
Colsten, Jacksyn, Alexander, Addison, Aiden, Liam, and Corbin; his sisters
Janet M Clark and Allison Taylor McBryde; and numerous nieces, nephews,
cousins, friends, and colleagues.
His varied working career saw him first in the police service of Edmonton and
Nelson, BC. He worked with Employment and Immigration with the Federal
Government in Whitehorse, Prince George, Prince Rupert, Inuvik, and Grande
Prairie. He retired as Regional Director for Northern Alberta for the
Provincial Government in Advanced Education and Career Development.
A celebration of his life will be held at Lake Saskatoon Community Hall (directions below) on
Thursday, August 15 at 1 p.m. Reception with remembrances to follow.
Heartfelt thanks for the care of Tom in the past few years go to the staff of
the University of Alberta Hospital; the QEII Grande Prairie Hospital, 5th
floor; the Points West Hospice; and Doctors Westra and Muwonge.
