Jeanette Bernice McCurdy, lifelong resident of Grande Prairie, passed away peacefully at Points West February 12, 2016, at the age of 74. Jeanette was born September 22, 1941 to Doris and William McCurdy, the youngest of 3 children. Jeanette attended school in Grande Prairie and after grade 12 she spent half her working career selling shoes in the Grande Prairie downtown retail sector, and finished the last half of her working years with the Daily Herald Tribune. Jeanette was an avid hockey fan, chuck wagon racing fan, and a very proud Canadian. Jeanette was predeceased by her parents and brothers Bob and Brian. She is survived by Sisters-In-Law: Carol and Eleanor, Nieces: Kathy, Colleen, Terry and Tracey, Nephews: Shawn and Brent, as well as many other extended family members and friends. At Jeanette’s request there will be no funeral. If you so wish, donations may be made to the Grande Prairie S.P.C.A, in Jeanette’s memory.
