It is with the heaviest of hearts that the family of Mathew Alexander Meyer announces his passing. Mathew was born in Langley BC on December 22, 1976 and passed away in Sherwood Park on February 25, 2016. Mathew was raised in Mayerthorpe and lived in a few places over the years, but considered Grande Prairie his home. A wonderful father and husband, his family was his world. Mathew was a self-proclaimed “Momma’s Boy” and he had an unforgettable laugh. He was also a game nerd and an origami artist extraordinaire. His wife and children were the greatest loves of his life and he was in business with the two men he most admired, his brother and his dad. Mathew is survived by his loving wife Melissa and his two children, Amalia and Parker. He is loved by his parents Len & Janice; brothers Jason (Lisa) and Shane; his sisters Michelle (Lawrence) and Rachelle (Wayne). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his best friend Jo-Anne. Mathew will be remembered as a wonderful Father, Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and Friend. Mathew was predeceased by his father Ken. A Celebration of Life for Mathew will be held on Saturday March 5th, 2016 at 2pm at the Mission Heights Church of Christ, 8321 Mission Heights Drive, Grande Prairie, Alberta. As per his children’s request, please wear something blue for his celebration.
